Why this matters (and to whom)

Under the ADA and Section 508, and for companies selling in the EU, WCAG 2.2 AA is the working compliance bar. Automated testing alone catches roughly a third of issues — which is why "we ran Lighthouse" is not a defense, and why a documented audit with evidence is the first thing a compliance conversation asks for. E-commerce, healthcare, education and government-contractor sites are the usual targets of demand letters; if any of those describe you, this costs less than one hour of counsel.
